Platform licensing

The platform we built to do our own work

SurveyCraft is not another survey tool. It is the system gothamCulture built to run its own culture and leadership engagements — and it is now licensed to firms and internal teams who want to run that work themselves.

Log in and launch gothamCulture's instrument library from your own workspace, or build your own instruments from scratch — either way, under your own brand.

Buying a finished instrument for one engagement instead? Culture Mosaic, Leadership Mosaic 360 and CultureDig are sold separately and need no license.

Choose a license

Every tier includes the full survey engine. Tiers differ by how many of your people can run engagements and how many responses you can collect a year.

Add gothamCulture's instruments

Instruments are licensed separately from the platform. Add one to your license and you can run it yourself, under your own brand. Prefer us to run it for you instead? Buy a single engagement and skip the license entirely.

Culture Mosaic
A research-backed culture survey with norm comparisons against other organizations.

Leadership Mosaic 360
A multi-rater leadership assessment with self, boss, peer and direct-report views.

Mosaic Signal
Respondents tell a story in their own words, then interpret it against scales you define — counts and trends out of open-ended feedback, with no analyst coding it afterwards.
Priced per license — ask us.
CultureDig
The licensed culture program built on the Schein three-layer model: seven research workstreams and story collection, brought together into one report.

Two ways to license one

  • Annual, unlimited

Run the instrument as often as you like for a license year, within your response allowance.

  • Per engagement

Pay each time you launch it. Suits a firm running one or two assessments a year.

Either way it is quoted per instrument — ask us what yours would cost.

What you are actually licensing

The capabilities consulting work needs, which general-purpose survey tools leave you to improvise around.

gothamCulture's instrument library, in your workspace
Culture Mosaic, Leadership Mosaic 360, Mosaic Signal and CultureDig are built here, not bolted on. License one as an add-on and launching it copies the validated master instrument — items, scoring, report template and all — into your own workspace, where you run it under your own name.
Multi-rater designs that hold up
360-degree and multi-source designs are first-class: separate subject and rater portals, per-rater invitation links, self-assessment, boss/peer/direct-report categories, and reporting thresholds that refuse to break a category out until enough raters have answered.
Longitudinal waves and pulses
Run the same measure on a cadence — weekly, biweekly, monthly — with rotating item subsets so respondents aren't answering the same block every time, and trends that accumulate across waves instead of resetting each survey.
Real branching, not just page skips
Question-level display logic, block-level branching, skip destinations, quotas, loop-and-merge, piped embedded data, and randomization — the survey-engine features consulting work needs and lightweight tools quietly lack.
Confidentiality enforced by the architecture
Anonymous collection, minimum-group-size thresholds before any breakout renders, recorded consent basis per respondent, scheduled data retention and an immutable audit log. Respondents are protected by how the system is built, not by a promise in the invitation email.
Your brand on everything respondents see
Surveys, invitation emails and reports carry your organization's logo, colors and themes. Licensees who need their own domain and sender identity end-to-end run a dedicated deployment — talk to us about which fits.

Questions

Is this a survey tool or the instruments?
The platform. A SurveyCraft license buys the builder, the survey engine and the reporting — and the response allowance covers the surveys you build yourself. gothamCulture's instruments are not included: license one as an add-on and you can run it yourself inside your own tenant. If you would rather we ran it for you, buy a single Culture Mosaic or Leadership Mosaic 360 engagement and skip the license entirely — the two routes are priced separately because they are different work.
Can I build my own instruments, or only run yours?
Both. The builder is the same one gothamCulture uses: 20 question types, block and question logic, quotas, randomization, piping, multi-language surveys, and a reusable question library scoped to your organization.
What counts as a response against my annual allowance?
Completed responses only. Someone who opens your survey and abandons it, gets screened out, or arrives after a quota has filled does not count against your allowance — you are charged for data you can actually use.
What if we need more seats than our tier includes?
Add them for $25 per seat per month, at any point in your term. If you are adding a lot of them, the next tier up is usually cheaper — we will tell you rather than let you overpay.
Who owns the data our respondents give us?
You do. Each license is a separate tenant — your surveys, responses, rosters, themes and reports are scoped to your organization and are not visible to other licensees. Retention schedules and export are yours to set.
Is the platform accessible to respondents using assistive technology?
Yes. Surveys and the dashboard are built to WCAG 2.1 AA / Section 508 — keyboard operable, screen-reader labelled, and tested at the contrast ratios federal work requires. Accessibility is also one of the Culture Mosaic subscales, so we measure it as well as practise it.
Is there a free trial or a free tier?
No — and we would rather show you the platform properly than hand you a login and hope. Ask for a walkthrough and we will run you through a live engagement: the builder, a 360 in flight, and a finished report.
What happens if we go over our response allowance?
Nothing stops. We alert you at 80% and again at 100%, then bill $100 per additional 1,000 responses. We will never cut off a survey that is in the field — your engagement with your own client is not something we are willing to break over a billing threshold. If you are regularly going over, the next tier up is usually cheaper and we will tell you so.
Can we cancel, and what is the refund policy?
Yes. A monthly license runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then stops; there is no partial refund for the month in progress. An annual license is refundable pro-rata within the first 30 days, and is committed for the term after that.
Can we change tiers mid-term?
Move up whenever you like — it takes effect immediately and we prorate the difference, so you are not paying twice for the same month. Moving down takes effect at your renewal rather than straight away. Switching from annual to monthly happens at renewal too. Extra seats work like an upgrade: available at once, prorated.

Want to see it running first?

We will walk you through a live engagement — the builder, a 360 in flight, and a finished report — and answer the licensing questions this page could not.
